🏔️ My Story

From Injury to Innovation

I've been an athlete my whole life. But starting as a freshman in high school, injuries began to pile up — a badly sprained ankle led to my first surgery. Torn shoulders, multiple dislocations, and repeat procedures followed me for years. By my late 20s, I had surgeries on both shoulders, endless rehab sessions, and even faced dislocations just from sleeping.

I was doing everything I thought I should — but it wasn't enough.

Discovering a Better Way

After another major setback, I found Denver Sports Recovery, a facility modeled after the Broncos' training center. That's where everything changed.

I discovered the power of mobility, strength training, and advanced recovery tools — hot/cold contrast therapy, infrared sauna, compression boots, red light therapy, PEMF grounding mats, and massage guns. These weren't gimmicks. They were the same technologies used by professional athletes to perform, recover, and stay in the game.

Over the years, I've tested countless brands, devices, and modalities — and through that process, I've built high expectations for quality and functionality. For me, only the best products matter, no matter the price.

When I committed to this new approach — prehab, rehab, and the right tools — my body transformed. My shoulders stabilized. My durability came back. For the first time in years, I wasn't held back by injury.

Becoming a Better Athlete

Before my second-to-last surgery, I wasn't focused on mobility or joint strength. I wasn't pushing hard in the gym. But once I started mountain biking, I realized how much better conditioned I needed to be to keep up with my expert-level friends.

I became incredibly dedicated — to getting stronger, more mobile, and durable enough to ride at the highest level. That dedication changed everything.

Now, at almost 42 and heading into my 12th mountain bike season, I'm the best athlete I've ever been. My snowboarding is sharper than ever. My cardio and endurance let me ride the toughest terrain. Years of damage have been rebuilt into strength and resilience. Most importantly, it's allowed me to be the best dad and man I can be.

The Birth of RECON

I knew I wasn't the only one. Countless athletes, active adults, and patients struggle with recovery — too many surgeries, not enough solutions.

That's why I built RECON Recovery Concierge:

  • To bring advanced recovery tools out of elite locker rooms and into homes, gyms, and mountain cabins.
  • To make recovery accessible anywhere, anytime — whether you're a young athlete, an active parent, a weekend warrior, or healing after surgery.
  • To empower people to not just recover, but to thrive.

Our Mission

At RECON, we believe recovery isn't optional — it's essential. It's how you keep moving, keep playing, and keep living the life you love.

Our purpose is simple:
