Seven Ironmans.
Seven Days.
One Reason.
August 14–20, Matt Johnson races seven full-distance Ironmans in seven consecutive days in Avalon, New Jersey. He’s doing it for veterans. RECON is putting $10,000 behind him — and putting a complete recovery system in the hands of one person reading this.
All Three Pillars. Every Day of the Build.
RECON built Matt’s recovery protocol for the seven days — and for the training cycle that got him there. Not one device. The whole system, daily.
One modality would have covered one problem. Seven consecutive days at that distance creates all three at once.
140.6 Miles.
Seven Times. No Rest Day.
One full-distance Ironman is a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bike, and a 26.2-mile run. Most athletes build a year toward one and spend a month climbing out of it.
Matt Johnson is doing seven. Back to back to back, August 14 through 20, in Avalon, New Jersey.
The math is the entire point. At that distance, seven days deep, recovery stops being something that happens after the race. It becomes the only reason day five exists at all. Sleep, fuel, circulation, tissue quality, nervous-system load — every one of them compounds or collapses overnight, and whatever is left is what starts the next swim.
That’s the sequence. It’s also exactly why RECON is standing behind this one.
- Swim
- 16.8mi 2.4 × 7
- Bike
- 784mi 112 × 7
- Run
- 183.4mi 26.2 × 7
Zero rest days. Every mile starts on whatever the night before gave back.
Why He’s Racing
Project 7 raises money for ValorFit.
One athlete. One charity. One week. RECON’s $10,000 goes to the same place Matt’s miles do — no split, no administrative detour, no pool to divide.
ValorFit is a 501(c)(3) that pays for struggling veterans’ gym memberships — full financial aid, up to six months. There is one condition attached: show up to at least three group classes a week.
That condition is the entire design. It isn’t a check written into a void — it’s a standing commitment to a room of people who expect you on Tuesday. Consistency is the mechanism, and they built the funding around it. Tax-exempt since February 2018.
$10,000 to ValorFit, granted through a donor-advised fund on the fourth day of Matt’s week — the day the accumulated load is heaviest and the finish is still three races away.
Here is the part most brands leave out, so we’ll say it first:
The $10,000 was unconditional. It was delivered before Match Day, and it happened whether you entered, whether you bought anything, or whether you ever found this page. No entry raised it. No purchase raised it. There was never a thermometer filling up as you scrolled, because your click was not moving that number.
There is now a second way money reaches ValorFit. Use code PROJECT7 at checkout: you take 15% off your order, and RECON donates 15% of the purchase price of that order to ValorFit. Valid August 18 through September 5, 2026.
This one is a commercial promotion, and it is deliberately not the same thing as the grant above. The $10,000 happened either way. This is additional, it depends on you, and we would rather label the difference plainly than blur the two. Buying still earns you zero giveaway entries — no purchase improves your chance of winning.
We’re telling you up front because the alternative is letting you believe otherwise, and that’s a worse trade than the entries it would have bought us.
Donating earns you zero giveaway entries. It goes straight to ValorFit — RECON never touches it and never sees it.
One Complete System.
One Winner.
Not a discount code dressed up as a prize. Three pieces that cover two of RECON’s three pillars — mechanical circulation and cellular environment — shipped free to one person in the United States.
Renew+ Photon Mat
8 PEMF coils, 144 red LEDs at 660nm, far-infrared heat, and negative ion output above 3,500. Lay on it, run a preset, let the nervous system change gears.
$1,349
Pro Compression Boots
Hose-free and wireless, in the winner’s size. 5 chambers, 4-zone sequential, 30–240 mmHg. The lymphatic system has no pump — it moves when you move. These pick up where your legs left off, and they don’t run out of ceiling.
$575
Pulse Massage Gun
Percussive work for the spots compression can’t reach — calves, feet, the shoulder that quietly took the whole swim.
$150Free to Enter.
More Ways to Stack.
Two things get you in: your email, and a follow on @reconwellness. Everything after that is optional and multiplies what you already have. Entries close 11:59 PM MT on September 5. Winner drawn and announced September 6.
Donations earn no entries. Not a typo, and not an oversight — tying a charitable gift to a prize turns a donation into a purchase, and we’re not doing that to ValorFit or to you. Give because you want to.

Three Pillars. One Protocol.
RECON isn’t a red light company or a compression company. No single modality covers what seven days of racing — or one hard season — asks of a body. Order matters, and it moves with timing: what you run before a session isn’t what you run after it.
Activate / Circulate
Compression, percussion, lymphatic movement. The lymphatic system has no pump — it relies on muscle contraction to circulate. When you stop moving, it stops moving.
See Activate / Circulate →RECON Renew
PEMF, nervous-system regulation, cellular environment. Presets at 3, 8, 10, and 23 Hz map to the brainwave bands that govern whether your body is in a state to repair at all.
See RECON Renew →Restore Red Light
Red and near-infrared photobiomodulation for cellular energy and tissue repair. Most red-light devices use two wavelengths. RECON uses eight — 630, 650, 660, 670, 810, 830, 850, and 1060nm.

Straight Answers
What is Project 7?
Project 7 is an endurance fundraising effort in which athlete Matt Johnson races seven full-distance Ironmans on seven consecutive days — August 14 through 20, 2026, in Avalon, New Jersey. It raises money for the veterans nonprofit ValorFit.
Who is Matt Johnson?
Matt Johnson is the endurance athlete behind Project 7. A full-distance Ironman is a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bike, and a 26.2-mile run. He is doing that seven days in a row to raise money for veterans.
What is ValorFit?
ValorFit is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that partners struggling veterans with fitness facilities and provides full financial aid for their membership fee for up to six months, so long as a minimum of three group classes are attended per week. It has been tax-exempt since February 2018. RECON’s $10,000 commitment goes directly to ValorFit.
What is RECON Match Day?
Sunday, August 17 — the fourth day of Matt’s seven. RECON grants $10,000 to ValorFit through a donor-advised fund on that day. The grant is unconditional and is not affected by entries, purchases, or promotional activity of any kind.
Do I have to buy anything to enter?
No. No purchase is necessary and a purchase will not improve your chance of winning. Entry is free with an email address.
Does donating to ValorFit earn me entries?
No — donating earns zero entries. Attaching a prize to a charitable gift turns the donation into a transaction, and we won’t do that. Donations go directly to ValorFit; RECON never handles or receives them.
Who can enter, and when does it close?
Legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 or older. Entries are open now and close at 11:59 PM Mountain Time on September 5, 2026. The winner is drawn at random and announced September 6, 2026.
Is this giveaway run by Instagram or Meta?
No. This promotion is sponsored solely by RECON Wellness, LLC. It is not administered by, sponsored by, or endorsed by Project 7, ValorFit, Instagram, or Meta.
