RECON is a three-pillar recovery system — not a single device. Each pillar targets a different layer of recovery:
Activate / Circulate — compression, percussion, and vibration tools that move fluid, reduce soreness, and restore circulation.
RECON Renew — supports deeper sleep, faster nervous system recovery, and reduced stress response using PEMF (pulsed electromagnetic field) technology combined with far-infrared heat therapy.
Restore Red Light — accelerates tissue repair, supports faster recovery between sessions, and enhances cellular energy production using calibrated red and near-infrared light wavelengths.
You can start with any single pillar and build from there. The system is designed to compound — each pillar enhances what the others do.
No. The majority of RECON users aren't professional athletes. They're people who train consistently, refuse to feel broken the next day, and want their body to keep up with their life. Parents who mountain bike on weekends. Adults who CrossFit at 5 AM before work. Weekend warriors who don't want Monday to feel like punishment.
If you're physically active and you've ever thought "I shouldn't feel this beat up" — you're exactly who this is for.
Start with what matches your biggest bottleneck:
Soreness and stiffness dominate your week? Start with Activate / Circulate — the RECON Pro Compression Boots ($575) are wireless, portable, and the fastest way to feel a difference after training.
Sleep is trash and you feel wired at night? Start with RECON Renew — the PEMF mat ($995) with the delta/theta preset is built for nervous system downregulation.
Recovery from injury or you want long-term tissue support? Start with Restore Red Light — the Restore Core panel ($699) covers the key treatment area for most people.
Most recovery brands live in one lane. You'll find companies that only make compression boots, companies that only make red light panels, and companies that only make PEMF mats. Each one solves one piece of the problem — and then the conversation stops.
RECON built all three pillars to work as a connected system. Compression clears the fluid system and increases circulation. PEMF regulates the nervous system and prepares the cellular environment. Red and near-infrared light delivers energy to the cells that need it most. That sequence matters — the order determines the outcome.
Beyond the system approach: RECON Pro Boots are fully wireless with no external hoses or pumps. The Restore Red Light panels deliver 8 calibrated wavelengths where most panels on the market deliver 2. Every product is FDA Class II registered or CE/FCC certified. And RECON prices the entire lineup below the legacy brands charging more for less technology.
Here's the short version: your cells have engines called mitochondria. They produce the energy your body uses to repair tissue, reduce inflammation, and recover from training. Red and near-infrared light at specific wavelengths supports that energy production process.
In practical terms: faster recovery between sessions, support for tissue repair, and enhanced circulation at the cellular level. You don't need to understand the biology to benefit. You just need to stand in front of it consistently.
For the detail-oriented: the Restore Red Light panels deliver 8 calibrated wavelengths — 4 red (630, 650, 660, 670nm) and 4 near-infrared (810, 830, 850, 1060nm) — each targeting different tissue depths and biological pathways. More on this in the technical specs section at the bottom of this page.
Fair question. Here's how to think about it: you're not buying a gadget you'll use for two weeks. You're building recovery infrastructure that you'll use every day for years.
You don't need to buy the whole system on day one. Most people start with a single pillar:
$150 — RECON Pulse Massage Gun. The lowest barrier to entry. Targeted percussion therapy you'll use daily.
$575 — RECON Pro Compression Boots. Wireless, portable, immediate results after every training session. This is where most people start.
$399 — Restore One panel. Entry-level red light for targeted treatment areas. Start small, upgrade later if you want more coverage.
A single visit to a recovery studio costs $40–75. A month of twice-weekly sessions runs $320–600. RECON pays for itself within a few months — and you own it forever, use it on your schedule, in your space.
Start with the pillar that matches your biggest problem. Add from there when you're ready. The system is modular by design.
Depends on what you're targeting:
Restore One ($399) — Targeted use. Face, knee, shoulder, or a specific area. 72 dual-chip LEDs. Good entry point if you want to start small.
Restore Core ($699) — The sweet spot for most people. Covers torso or full back. 144 dual-chip LEDs. Best balance of coverage and price.
Restore Edge ($1,399) — Half-body coverage. 288 dual-chip LEDs. For athletes who want to treat larger muscle groups in a single session.
Restore Apex ($2,299) — Near full-body coverage. 576 dual-chip LEDs. For the person who is all-in on light therapy as a daily protocol.
All panels share the same 8-wavelength system, touchscreen controls, Bluetooth app connectivity, and individual wavelength dimming/pulsing. The difference is coverage area — not quality.
Correct. The RECON Pro Compression Boots have dual independent compressors built directly into the boots. No external pump. No hoses. No control box sitting across the room.
They run 4-zone sequential compression from feet to upper thighs at 30–240 mmHg, with 3 cycle modes (Sequential, Pulse, Wave). Battery lasts approximately 2.5 hours per charge. They weigh about 5 lbs total for the pair.
Medium fits 5'4"–5'11". Large fits 5'11"–6'5". Both come with a travel case.
Sessions are shorter than you think:
Compression boots: 15–30 minutes. Most people do this post-training or in the evening while watching something.
RECON Renew PEMF: 20–30 minutes. The mat has a built-in 30-minute session timer. Many people use the pre-sleep delta/theta preset while winding down.
Restore Red Light: 10–20 minutes depending on the preset. Stand or sit in front of the panel. Skin exposure. That's it.
Daily use produces the most consistent results, but this isn't all-or-nothing. 4–5 sessions per week with any single pillar still delivers compounding benefit. Consistency beats perfection.
Yes — with one important rule. Use the Sleep preset, which activates only the red wavelengths (630–670nm) and disables all near-infrared wavelengths (810nm and above).
Red light at 630–670nm does not suppress melatonin and is compatible with your pre-sleep routine. Near-infrared at clinical irradiance levels may upregulate cortisol and increase alertness — the opposite of what you want before bed.
The Sleep preset is built into every Restore Red Light panel. It handles this automatically. Use it within your wind-down routine and you're good.
Both deliver PEMF (1–30 Hz adjustable) plus far-infrared heat therapy with amethyst and tourmaline crystals.
The Renew+ Photon Mat ($1,349) adds 144 red LEDs at 660nm for integrated photobiomodulation directly into the mat surface, plus jade and clay crystals, negative ion generation (3,500+), and 8 PEMF coils instead of 6.
The Renew PEMF Mat ($995) is the foundational product — PEMF, far-infrared, 6 coils. It's also the only mat eligible for commercial/facility use, because the Photon layer requires direct skin contact (covers block the light output).
If you're buying for home use and want the fullest protocol from a single mat: Renew+. If you want the core PEMF + infrared experience or plan to use it in a shared environment: Renew.
6 inches from the panel surface is the standard treatment distance. That's where we measure our irradiance specs (155–180 mW/cm² depending on the panel). Closer delivers more intensity to surface tissue. Further back covers more area at lower intensity.
For muscle recovery and joint support: 6 inches. For broader skin-level coverage: 12–18 inches. The built-in presets account for standard distance and session length — start there, then dial in based on how you respond.
Depends on the pillar:
Compression boots: Immediate. You'll feel reduced heaviness and improved circulation after your first session. This is mechanical — fluid moves when you compress it.
PEMF: Most people notice improved sleep quality within 7–14 days of consistent use. Some feel a shift in relaxation during the first session, especially on the delta/theta preset.
Red light: Cellular processes are cumulative. Consistent use over 2–4 weeks is when most people report noticeable changes in recovery speed and tissue response. Some notice skin and surface-level changes sooner.
The common pattern: boots hit fast, PEMF builds within a week or two, red light compounds over weeks. All three benefit from consistency.

Yes. In fact, sequencing them is how the system is designed to work.
The recommended order: Activate / Circulate first (clear the fluid system and increase circulation), RECON Renew second (regulate the nervous system and prepare the cellular environment), Restore Red Light third (deliver photobiomodulation into cleared, regulated tissue).
Full stack takes 45–80 minutes depending on session lengths. You don't have to use all three every day — but when you do stack them, this is the order that produces the best conditions for recovery.
All three pillars are designed for daily use at their recommended session lengths.
Compression: 15–30 minutes per session. No daily limit, but 1–2 sessions per day is standard.
PEMF: 20–30 minute sessions. The mat's built-in timer runs 30-minute cycles. Standard use is 1 session per day.
Red light: Follow the preset durations (10–20 minutes depending on the scene). More is not better with photobiomodulation — there is a dose curve, and staying within the preset ranges keeps you in the effective window.
If you have a specific medical condition, are pregnant, or have an implanted medical device (such as a pacemaker), consult your healthcare provider before use.

Every Restore Red Light panel — from the Restore One to the Restore Titan — delivers the same 8-wavelength dual-chip system:
Red wavelengths: 630nm, 650nm, 660nm, 670nm
Near-infrared wavelengths: 810nm, 830nm, 850nm, 1060nm
The dual-chip LED configuration pairs one red and one NIR wavelength per chip: 630+810, 650+830, 660+850, 670+1060. This delivers both surface-level and deep-tissue photobiomodulation simultaneously across each treatment zone.
Why these wavelengths matter: 660nm is the peak absorption wavelength for cytochrome c oxidase (the enzyme in the mitochondrial electron transport chain that photobiomodulation targets). 670nm has specific published absorption data for the same enzyme. 810nm and 850nm penetrate to deeper musculoskeletal tissue. 1060nm provides the deepest NIR penetration in the lineup — a wavelength most consumer panels omit entirely.
Each wavelength is independently dimmable (1–100%) and independently pulsable (1–10,000 Hz) via the touchscreen or the Bluetooth app. You can run red-only, NIR-only, or any custom combination.
Measured at 6 inches from the panel surface with all wavelengths at 100%:
Restore One: 155 mW/cm² (72 dual-chip LEDs / 144 total emitters)
Restore Core: 161 mW/cm² (144 dual-chip / 288 total)
Restore Edge: 166 mW/cm² (288 dual-chip / 576 total)
Restore Apex: 171 mW/cm² (576 dual-chip / 1,152 total)
Restore Titan: 180 mW/cm² (864 dual-chip / 1,728 total)
All panels use a 30° beam angle lens for focused energy delivery. At 6 inches and the standard 15–20 minute session length, you're delivering approximately 5.6–12.9 J/cm² per treatment zone — within the published therapeutic window for musculoskeletal applications in photobiomodulation literature.
All panels are FDA Class II registered (510(K) Exempt), MDL, TGA, CE, and RoHS certified.
It depends on what you're optimizing for. Higher Gauss (field intensity) is not inherently better — it's a different application.
High-intensity PEMF (8–30+ Gauss) is designed for deep tissue penetration and musculoskeletal stimulation. Low-intensity PEMF (1–3 Gauss) at precise frequency control is designed for nervous system regulation — specifically brainwave entrainment, parasympathetic activation, and sleep architecture support.
RECON Renew is built for the second application. The 1–30 Hz frequency range in 1 Hz increments gives you granular control over brainwave state targeting:
3 Hz (Delta) — deep sleep, tissue regeneration
8 Hz (Theta) — deep relaxation, recovery transition
10 Hz (Alpha) — calm focus, active recovery
23 Hz (Beta) — alertness, pre-training activation
Most consumer PEMF mats offer 4–6 fixed presets with no manual frequency adjustment. RECON Renew gives you the presets for convenience and full manual control for protocol-specific targeting. At 3 Gauss with precise frequency selection, you're not blasting tissue — you're dialing in a specific neurological state. That precision is the differentiator.
The sequencing isn't arbitrary. Each pillar creates the physiological conditions that make the next pillar more effective:
Step 1 — Activate / Circulate (Mechanical): Sequential pneumatic compression enhances lymphatic return and increases peripheral blood flow. This clears metabolic waste products (lactate, cellular debris) and improves tissue perfusion. You're moving fluid and creating the circulatory conditions for what comes next.
Step 2 — RECON Renew (Electromagnetic): PEMF at delta/theta frequencies promotes parasympathetic nervous system activation — downregulating cortisol, reducing sympathetic tone, and shifting the autonomic state toward recovery. Combined with far-infrared thermal therapy, this prepares the cellular environment for repair processes.
Step 3 — Restore Red Light (Photonic): Red and NIR photobiomodulation is most effective when delivered into well-perfused, non-inflamed tissue with a regulated nervous system. Cytochrome c oxidase absorption drives increased ATP production, which fuels the cellular repair mechanisms that Steps 1 and 2 have prepared the body to execute.
You can use any pillar independently and get benefit. But the compounding effect of the sequence — clear, regulate, then energize — is the system architecture that single-modality brands can't replicate.
