Pro vs Elite Compression Boots (and the Elite Hip Attachment)

Three ways into RECON compression. The Pro Compression Boots are wireless and built to travel. The Elite Compression System adds chambers, pressure headroom and a hub that drives more than your legs. The Elite Hip Attachment plugs into that hub to cover the hips and glutes. Every spec below comes from the RECON product catalog.

Pro or Elite: Which Compression Boots Should I Buy?

Pick the one that fits how you train and where you recover.

Choose the Pro if you want wireless, hose-free boots that go in a bag and run anywhere. 4 chambers per boot, 7 pressure levels up to 240 mmHg, and a 15, 30 or 45 minute timer, all controlled from the boot itself.

Choose the Elite if you want 8 chambers, up to 260 mmHg and 6 modes, and the option to run it plugged in for back-to-back sessions. Its hub also drives the Elite Hip and Arm Attachments.

Add the Hip Attachment if you own the Elite and want the low back, hips and glutes covered too. It runs as its own session: the Elite runs one attachment at a time, so legs and hips go back to back, never at once.

How Long Should a Compression Session Be?

Same guidance for both boots.

After training is the main use: 20 to 30 minutes at moderate pressure, about 80 to 120 mmHg. Before training is optional: about 10 minutes at light pressure (50 to 80 mmHg), then your normal warm-up. Rest-day sessions can run 30 to 45 minutes. These ranges are RECON guidance, not device settings. In the full RECON routine, compression comes first after training, then PEMF with RECON Renew, then Restore red light.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the RECON Pro and Elite compression boots?

The Pro Compression Boots ($575) are wireless and hose-free with 4 air chambers per boot, 7 pressure levels from 30 to 240 mmHg, 5 modes and a 15, 30 or 45 minute timer. The Elite Compression System ($649) has 8 chambers, 30 to 260 mmHg and 6 modes, runs on its 5,200 mAh battery or plugged in, and its hub accepts the Elite Hip and Arm Attachments.

Does the Elite Hip Attachment work with the Pro boots?

No. The Elite Hip Attachment runs on the Elite Compression System hub only.

Can the Elite run the boots and the hip attachment at the same time?

No. The Elite runs one attachment at a time: both legs through the Y-connector, one hip attachment, or one or two arms. Legs and hips are back-to-back sessions.

How many chambers does the Elite Hip Attachment have?

8 air chambers, matching the Elite hub. The hip chambers are smaller than the leg chambers. It covers from the low back down to just above the knee.

What pressure do RECON boots start at?

Both the Pro and the Elite start every session at 30 mmHg. The Pro tops out at 240 mmHg and the Elite at 260 mmHg.

Do the Pro boots come with a remote?

No. Every Pro control is on the boot's own panel. The Elite comes with a remote and a color LCD screen.
